So, I'm pretty late to the party with this one but I've finally got round to reading The 5th Wave. The first three waves hit and took out millions of people, the fourth wave turned humanity against itself, now it is time for the fifth wave.
I'm not usually into science fiction, but this book has been so widely spoken about within the book community for a long time, I knew I had to read it, particularly now the movie is out too. I was fairly surprised to find that I enjoyed this book, it felt realistic in some ways and not too over the top. I loved all of the characters and their flaws made them more realistic in my opinion. Yancey's storytelling is excellent, with language that both draws you in and keeps you interested throughout. I would highly recommend reading this book if you haven't already - it's definitely an important one!
