The Crown by Kiera Cass

*This book is the fifth in the Selection series, so the following review may contain spoilers for the previous books*

Well. This book felt a lot more like the original Selection trilogy about America, rather than the insensitive spoiled brat from the Heir book. I really didn't like Eadlyn during the Heir - my review of that book goes into slightly more detail. But this book showed her as much more of a whole person and she was actually likeable. I have to admit, as I got to around 80% through the book, I had no idea how the story was going to end and who she would choose to be her Prince consort, but I was happy with the outcome.

I'm glad the whole Selection series ended on this note, but I'd have liked to have seen more of America and Maxon in this final installation, it started with them so it would have been nice to finish with a bit about them too, but I was happy. The epilogue was dreamy and I even screenshotted it to use for a later instagram/tumblr post! I would highly recommend starting this series, it really is a fun, quick read.
