The Replacement Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts
Vivian is a book blogger obsessed with all-things romance. Happy with her quant little life reviewing books on her blog and helping her mom out at her bookstore, Vivian's world begins to turn upside down when she gets hurt by a local boy she has always had a crush on. Vivian decides the only way to get over her heartbreak is to find a "replacement crush" who she has no chemistry with, to tone down her hormones and put all of her romantic energy towards. When hot nerd Dallas starts at her school and begins helping out at the bookstore, however, Vivian has to make a decision between whether to go with her heart or her head.
This is now one of my favourite YA romances. It's slow-burning, at times torturingly so, but it's so sweet and fun to read. Dallas is definitely on my book boyfriend list. With swoonworthy moments, tense action scenes (okay, a couple, but they're totally worth mentioning) and celebrity spotting, this book is a great read to wind down the Summer.
I loved that our main character loved books and that books (and blogging!) were a big part of the narrative. It felt modern, contemporary and just up my street. I would highly highly recommend reading this fun little book.
