When I first started reading this book, I was intrigued as it felt like a throwback from a few years ago where dystopian YA stories were EVERYWHERE. During that time period, I had read so many from that genre that I had burned myself out, and haven't picked one up since. But when I started This Mortal Coil, I was so ready to be thrown back into an action-packed dystopian world combined with a ton of sci-fi, and this book didn't disappoint.
With DNA-hacking, intense technological inventions, a murderous virus and a strong female lead, I really enjoyed reading this book, but my enjoyment really piqued towards the end as the storyline was starting to wrap up. I was completely taken by surprise and I loved it. I would highly recommend this book, it's full of action, it's fast paced and it has some deeper messages about what it means to be human.
