At YA Love Magazine, we're not only obsessed with the popular, hyped-up books, but we also love the stories that you guys write. Everyone has a story to tell and to kick off 2017, we're asking all of our fans to submit their own short story to YA Love Magazine in our brand-new competition. The competition will run for 2 months, so you have plenty of time to plan, write, edit and submit your story before Friday 10th March (Midnight GMT) and we will announce one winner on Saturday 1st April. The lucky winner will win 1 x £100 ($125) Book Depository Voucher and will be published on our Magazine under the Short Stories category.
Your story MUST be between 2000-3000 words (a 10% buffer is allocated).
Your story MUST fit into the Young Adult genre.
Your story can follow any themes, narrative, genre that you choose, as long as it contains the theme: New Beginnings.
Your story must have a title that is relevant to your story.
Your story must be original - this includes work that has been published on personal blogs/other websites. (we will be checking for plagiarism.)
Entrants must submit by the proposed deadline in order to enter, must have their parents permission if they are under 18 and the story must be in English, even though the competition is open internationally. The story will be judged by the YA Love Magazine team based on language, narrative, creativity, themes and flair and the winner will be announced and contacted on the date mentioned above. If the winner does not respond within 1 month of winning the competition, another winner will be chosen, and so on until a winner has claimed the prize. Please note - after submitting your entry, YA Love Magazine may contact you to be featured on the website but you will be credited and can decline this offer if you choose to do so.
